Introductions between Japanese producers and overseas buyers.

I am Koki Hagiuda, and Japan Access Desk is my introduction service. I introduce overseas businesses that want to buy Japanese products to producers and wholesalers in Japan, and handle the first enquiries in Japanese. The current focus is Japanese matcha; the same approach applies to other Japanese products.

How it works

1

You tell me what you are looking for

The product, grade, quantity, destination and anything you already know. A short email is enough.

2

I ask the suppliers in Japanese

I contact producers or wholesalers that fit and confirm the basics: whether they export, price range, minimum order, samples and lead time.

3

I introduce you to each other

You then deal with the supplier directly. I report what was confirmed and what was not.

How this service is paid for

I am paid by the supplier. When an introduction leads to business, the supplier pays me a referral fee under terms we agree before the introduction is made.

Buyers are not charged for an introduction. If a buyer asks for separate work beyond an introduction, such as research or ongoing coordination in Japan, that work is quoted and agreed in writing before it starts.

Recent enquiries

Two recent enquiries handled by Japan Access Desk. Names and commercial details are kept private.

2 October 2026

Direct purchasing from a Japanese manufacturer

An overseas buyer asked whether it could purchase directly. I contacted the manufacturer and followed up. The manufacturer referred the enquiry to its designated distributor, and I passed that guidance back to the buyer.

3 October 2026

Quotation and delivery enquiry

An overseas buyer needed a quotation and delivery options for a Japanese product. I requested them from a supplier and followed up. The supplier was checking availability with the manufacturer; price and delivery terms were still pending at that update.
